What it can't do
- Scanned or flat PDFs have no fillable fields. This tool cannot add new fields or turn a scan into a form.
- XFA forms use a different form format and are not supported.
- Signed PDFs are not supported: editing can invalidate a signature.
- Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are not supported.
This tool fills existing fields. It does not choose a form for you or decide what answers you should give.
Frequently asked questions
Is this free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, watermark, or payment required.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Your file and field values stay in your browser. Field values are not saved in browser storage. Usage events contain only the tool, action, and page-count range.
Can I change the answers later?
Yes, the downloaded PDF keeps its fields editable unless you choose Flatten. Flattening makes the field answers part of the page.
Does this work on a phone?
Yes. Use the list view to edit fields and the page preview to check your answers.
Can I use characters from other languages?
The tool embeds a font in the downloaded PDF. If that font cannot represent a character, the affected field shows a message so you can change it before downloading.
