Counsel Addendum

Counsel may collect and process account information, firm or organization information, workspace settings, user roles, access-control records, audit and security logs, support messages, usage and device information, and information submitted through Counsel workflows.

Counsel may process client files, contracts, discovery materials, deposition materials, privileged communications, attorney work product, legal research materials, matter information, and other sensitive legal materials within authorized firm workspaces.

Counsel uses information to provide firm workspace features, analyze documents, generate summaries and citations, support legal research, administer users and access controls, provide support, maintain security, monitor system integrity, comply with legal obligations, and enforce applicable agreements.

Jurisio does not use Counsel client materials or firm workspace content to train general-purpose models unless the applicable written agreement expressly permits that use.

Jurisio's Counsel security, SOC 2, HIPAA, business associate, regulated-data, and privileged-material commitments apply only as stated in the applicable written agreement, order form, data processing addendum, business associate agreement, security documentation, or other signed terms.

Where a business associate agreement, data processing addendum, security addendum, or similar agreement applies, it controls for the covered data, workspace, and obligations described in that agreement.

Firm administrators may invite users, remove users, configure permissions, manage workspace settings, and access or control information associated with the workspace. You are responsible for configuring user access and limiting access to authorized personnel.

Jurisio may process logs, metadata, and security records to maintain auditability, investigate abuse, support compliance obligations, and protect the Service, users, and third parties.

Counsel may use cloud infrastructure providers, AI service providers, security providers, analytics providers, support vendors, and other service providers to operate the Service. These providers may process information on Jurisio's behalf subject to applicable agreements and safeguards.

Additional subprocessors, data-location commitments, or vendor restrictions may be described in a separate written agreement, security documentation, or enterprise policy.

Counsel retains firm workspace information, client materials, outputs, logs, audit records, account records, and support records as described in the applicable agreement, workspace settings, Privacy Policy, or legal requirement.

Deletion, export, retention, legal hold, backup, and audit-log treatment may differ from consumer products and may be controlled by firm administrators or separate written agreements.
